How to apply UV DTF

UV DTF decals are peel-and-stick, so no heat press is needed. Apply them to clean, dry, smooth hard surfaces such as glass, metal, ceramic, hard plastic and sealed wood.

1. Peel off the backing.
2. Place the design on the surface.
3. Rub firmly with a squeegee or card.
4. Slowly peel away the top film.

Let the design set for 24 hours before washing. Hand washing is recommended; avoid dishwashers and soaking. UV DTF is not intended for fabric; for garments, choose our DTF transfers.

Artwork requirements

• Accepted file types: PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, PSD, AI and EPS.
• For best results, upload a PNG with a transparent background.
• 300 DPI at the final print size is recommended.
• Do not mirror your artwork.

Shipping and returns

Orders placed by 2 PM ET on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding US federal holidays) ship the same day; orders placed after 2 PM ET ship the next business day. Free shipping on US orders of $120 or more.

Custom-printed items are final sale. If your order arrives misprinted, defective, damaged or wrong, email photos to info@dtfsirius.com within 7 days of delivery and we will reprint or refund it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a heat press for UV DTF?

No. UV DTF is peel-and-stick: peel the backing, place the design, rub it down firmly and peel off the top film. No heat, no transfer tape, no weeding.

What surfaces does UV DTF stick to, and which should I avoid?

It sticks to smooth, hard, non-porous surfaces: stainless tumblers and water bottles, glass, mugs and ceramic, metal, acrylic, hard plastic, sealed wood, candle jars, phone cases and laptops. Avoid fabric, paper, silicone, unsealed wood, powder-coated or heavily textured surfaces.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Hand wash only. Once applied and left to set for 24 hours, the decal is water- and scratch-resistant for daily use, but dishwashers, soaking and abrasive pads shorten the life of any decal.

What sizes can I order?

Any size you set in the uploader, from small logo decals under an inch to designs up to 22 inches wide. Each design can have its own size and quantity. For full tumbler wraps, our cup wraps are pre-sized for 16 oz glass cans and 20 oz and 40 oz tumblers.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Order from 1 piece. Larger quantities of the same design are the cheapest way to label products, tumblers, candles, jars or equipment.

What file should I upload?

A PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at the final size gives the cleanest edges. SVG, PDF, AI, EPS, PSD and JPG are also accepted. Keep lines and text at least 1 mm thick, and do not mirror the file.

What is your cutoff and where do you ship from?

We print in-house in upstate New York. Orders placed by 2 PM ET Monday–Friday ship the same day with tracking; later orders ship the next business day. Typical delivery is 1–2 business days to New York, New Jersey and New England, 2 days to the Mid-Atlantic and 2–4 days to the rest of the US.

What if my decal isn't sticking?

Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol first, rub the whole decal down hard with a card before peeling, and peel the top film slowly at a low angle. If a decal arrives damaged or misprinted, email photos within 7 days and we reprint it free.

UV DTF or regular DTF?

UV DTF is for hard surfaces and sticks on its own. Regular DTF transfers are heat-pressed onto fabric such as t-shirts, hoodies and bags. Read our DTF vs UV DTF guide.
