Ready to Press DTF Transfers: Custom, No Minimum, Ships Same Day from New York

Ready to press DTF transfers from DTF Sirius are printed from your own artwork, powdered and cured in-house in upstate New York, and shipped the same day when you order by 2 PM ET Monday through Friday. They are hot peel, need no weeding, no mirroring and no transfer tape, and work on cotton, polyester, blends and fleece. There is no minimum order: a single transfer by size, or a 22-inch-wide gang sheet at $0.75 per inch (about 3.4¢ per square inch; 22 × 12 is $9, 22 × 60 is $45). Shipping is free on orders of $120 or more, delivery is typically 1–2 business days to New York, New Jersey and New England, and misprints are reprinted or refunded within 7 days of delivery.

What "ready to press" means

A DTF (direct-to-film) transfer is made in three steps: the design is printed in full color with a white underbase onto a clear film, a hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the wet ink, and the sheet is cured so the powder melts into an even adhesive layer. When all three are done, the transfer is ready to press. Position it face up on the garment, press, and peel the film away. Every DTF transfer we ship arrives at that stage, whether you ordered one design by size or a full gang sheet.

Two things ready to press does not mean here. First, we do not sell a catalog of pre-made designs; we print the artwork you upload, so each order is custom. Second, ready to press does not require pre-cutting: an uncut gang sheet is just as ready, you simply cut the designs apart with scissors before pressing. If you would rather skip the scissors, order pre-cut and each design arrives cut out.

How to order ready-to-press DTF transfers

Option Best for Price
DTF Transfers by Size One design at a set size and quantity; the simplest way to order a few pieces About 4¢ per square inch, shown before you add to cart
DTF Gang Sheet Builder Many designs, sizes, names or numbers on one 22-inch-wide sheet, 12 to 240 inches long $0.75 per inch of length (22 × 12 is $9, 22 × 60 is $45), about 3.4¢ per square inch
Upload DTF Gang Sheet A sheet you laid out in your own software, printed exactly as submitted Priced from your sheet size before checkout
Pre-cut option Pressing straight from the box, many small designs, volunteers doing the pressing On request: email info@dtfsirius.com

Upload a PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI at the final print size (JPG, SVG, PDF, PSD, AI and EPS are also accepted). Do not mirror the file; DTF is pressed face up and we print exactly what you send. The gang sheet calculator shows how many copies of a design fit on each sheet length and what each one costs.

What arrives in the box

  • Your transfers on clear film, printed side with a matte adhesive layer, rolled or packed flat depending on sheet length.
  • Uncut sheets with your designs laid out as you placed them, or pre-cut pieces if you ordered pre-cutting.
  • Tracking emailed when the package ships. Allow up to 24 hours for the first carrier scan.

Store unpressed transfers flat or loosely rolled, away from heat, humidity and direct sun; they keep for months. Handle them by the edges so skin oils do not reach the adhesive side.

How to press DTF transfers: step by step

  1. Set the press to 315–325°F with medium-firm pressure. Let it come fully to temperature.
  2. Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to flatten the fabric and drive out moisture.
  3. Cut and position the transfer face up, print side against the fabric. Leave about 0.25 inch of clear film around the design when cutting; it will not show.
  4. Press for 6–12 seconds.
  5. Peel hot: lift one corner of the film and peel it back smoothly in one motion while the transfer is still hot. If an area lifts with the film, lay it back down, press 3 more seconds and peel again.
  6. Second press (optional but recommended): cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and press 5–10 seconds more for a softer hand and better wash life.
Fabric Temperature Time Note
100% cotton 315–325°F 6–12 s Most forgiving; full range works
Polyester and performance Low end of the range 6–12 s Limits dye migration; test one piece first
Cotton/poly blends 315–325°F 6–12 s Pre-press to remove moisture
Fleece and hoodies 315–325°F 6–12 s Pre-press to flatten the nap; mind seams and pockets
Totes, caps, denim 315–325°F 6–12 s Even pressure matters most; use a pressing pillow over seams

Care after pressing

Wait 24 hours before the first wash. Wash inside out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and do not iron directly on the print. Pressed this way, transfers last 50+ washes without cracking or peeling.

Ready-to-press DTF transfers FAQ

What does ready to press mean for a DTF transfer?

The transfer arrives printed, powdered and cured on its carrier film, so the only steps left are to position it on the garment, press it and peel the film. There is no weeding, no mirroring and no transfer tape. Every DTF transfer from DTF Sirius ships this way.

Do you sell pre-made ready-to-press designs?

No. We print your own artwork, so every transfer is custom. Upload a design to the DTF Gang Sheet Builder or DTF Transfers by Size and it ships ready to press. Please send only artwork you own or have the right to use.

Is there a minimum order for ready-to-press DTF transfers?

No. Order one transfer by size or one 22 × 12 gang sheet for $9. The same price per square inch applies at every quantity.

Are the transfers hot peel or cold peel?

Hot peel. Press at 315–325°F with medium-firm pressure for 6–12 seconds, then peel the film while it is still hot. A short second press with parchment or a Teflon sheet improves the hand and wash life.

Do I need a heat press, or can I use an iron?

A heat press. An iron does not deliver even temperature or pressure across the whole design, and the result peels or cracks. Any clamshell or swing-away press that reaches 325°F works.

What fabrics can I press them on?

Cotton, polyester, blends, fleece and most performance fabrics, in any color. For polyester, press at the low end of the range to limit dye migration and test one piece first.

How long do ready-to-press DTF transfers last?

50+ washes when pressed correctly. Wash inside out in cold water and tumble dry low. Unpressed transfers keep for months stored flat or rolled, out of heat, humidity and direct sunlight.

Can I get the transfers pre-cut?

Yes. Pre-cut sheets arrive with every design cut out individually so you can press straight from the box; pricing is on request at info@dtfsirius.com. Uncut sheets you cut apart with scissors, leaving about 0.25 inch around each design.

How fast do they ship?

Order by 2 PM ET Monday through Friday and the transfers ship the same day from upstate New York with tracking. Typical delivery is 1–2 business days to New York, New Jersey and New England, 2 days to the Mid-Atlantic and 2–4 days to the rest of the US. Shipping is free on orders of $120 or more.

How much do ready-to-press DTF transfers cost?

Gang sheets are $0.75 per inch of a 22-inch-wide sheet, about 3.4¢ per square inch (22 × 12 is $9, 22 × 60 is $45). A single design by size is about 4¢ per square inch. No setup fee and no minimum. Full tables are on DTF gang sheet pricing.
