UV DTF Cup Wrap Sizes: 40 oz, 30 oz, 20 oz Tumblers & 16 oz Glass Cans

Typical UV DTF cup wrap sizes: a 16 oz glass can takes about 9.33 × 4.5 in, a 20 oz straight skinny tumbler about 9.3 × 8.2 in, a 30 oz tumbler about 10.5 × 9 in, and a 40 oz handled tumbler takes a body-panel decal of about 9.3 × 5 in rather than a full wrap. Those are starting points, not guarantees: cups vary by brand and batch, so measure yours (how-to below) before you order. We print UV DTF in-house in upstate New York with no minimum order and no setup fee. UV DTF cup wrap size chart

Width is the distance around the cup (its circumference) minus a small gap at the seam; height is the straight part of the wall the decal can sit on. Prices are approximate, based on 12¢ per square inch; the by-size product page shows the exact price as you enter dimensions and quantity.

Cup Typical wrap size (W × H) Area Approx. price by size Notes
16 oz glass can (beer-can glass) 9.33 × 4.5 in 42 sq in about $5.04 Straight sides. Wrap sits below the rim and above the base curve. Leave about 1/4 in open at the seam.
20 oz skinny tumbler (straight) 9.3 × 8.2 in 76 sq in about $9.15 Straight-wall skinny tumblers only. Tapered skinnies need a curved (arc) wrap or a shorter panel.
30 oz tumbler 10.5 × 9 in 94.5 sq in about $11.34 Most 30 oz tumblers taper toward the base. Measure the circumference at the top and bottom of the panel.
40 oz handled tumbler 9.3 × 5 in body panel 46.5 sq in about $5.58 The handle interrupts a full wrap. A front panel, or two panels either side of the handle, is the usual approach.
11–15 oz ceramic mug 3 × 3 in logo panel (front and back) 9 sq in each about $1.08 each Small panels avoid the handle and the curve near the base.
Candle jar, mason jar, water bottle 2.5 × 2.5 to 4 × 4 in label 6–16 sq in about $0.75–$1.92 Keep labels on the straight section; glass that curves in two directions will not take a flat decal cleanly.

Full wraps for 16 oz glass cans and 20 oz and 40 oz tumblers come pre-cut and ready to apply in our cup wraps collection. How to measure your cup for a UV DTF wrap

  1. Measure around. Wrap a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper around the cup where the design will sit. Mark where it overlaps and measure the strip flat. That is the circumference.
  2. Subtract the seam gap. Take 1/4 to 1/2 inch off the circumference so the two ends of the wrap meet with a small gap instead of overlapping. A 9.6 in circumference becomes a 9.3 in wide wrap.
  3. Measure the straight wall. Measure from just below the rim (or the lid's seal line) down to where the wall starts to curve or taper into the base. Subtract about 1/4 inch top and bottom. That is your height.
  4. Check for taper. Measure the circumference at the top and bottom of the panel. If they differ by more than about 1/2 inch, either shorten the panel so the difference shrinks, or design the wrap as a gentle arc so it lies flat on the cone. We print whatever shape you upload.
  5. Allow for handles. On a 40 oz handled tumbler, measure the open panel between the handle mounts and treat it as the maximum width.
  6. Set up the file. Save a PNG with a transparent background at the exact wrap size, 300 DPI. Keep text and fine lines at least 1 mm thick. Do not mirror the file.

How to apply a UV DTF cup wrap

  1. Wipe the cup with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely. Any film of soap, oil or dust weakens the bond.
  2. Peel the paper backing off the wrap.
  3. Line up the seam at the back of the cup and lay the wrap down from the center outward, rolling it around the cup so you do not trap air.
  4. Rub the whole design down hard with a squeegee or a credit card, especially edges and small text.
  5. Peel the clear top film away slowly at a low angle. If a piece lifts, lay the film back down, rub again and continue.
  6. Let it set for 24 hours before the first wash. Hand wash only; skip the dishwasher and soaking.

Which surfaces work

UV DTF bonds to smooth, hard, non-porous surfaces: stainless steel tumblers and bottles, glass, ceramic, acrylic, coated metal, hard plastic and sealed wood. It does not work on fabric, paper, silicone, unsealed wood, powder-coated or heavily textured finishes. If you need a design on a shirt or tote, that is a heat-pressed DTF transfer; see DTF vs UV DTF.

UV DTF cup wrap FAQ

What size UV DTF wrap fits a 40 oz tumbler with a handle?

A body panel of about 9.3 × 5 in on the front, or two narrower panels either side of the handle. A continuous full wrap does not work because of the handle mounts. Measure the open panel on your tumbler before you order.

What size wrap fits a 16 oz glass can?

About 9.33 × 4.5 in for most beer-can-style glasses, leaving a small gap at the seam. Check the circumference of your glass; brands differ by a fraction of an inch.

What size wrap fits a 20 oz skinny tumbler?

About 9.3 × 8.2 in for a straight-wall skinny tumbler. If yours tapers, measure top and bottom circumference and use a shorter panel or an arc-shaped wrap.

Can I put a full wrap on a tapered tumbler?

Only if the wrap is designed as an arc that matches the taper. A straight rectangle on a cone will spiral and wrinkle. For most 30 oz and tapered 20 oz tumblers, a shorter straight panel is the simpler choice.

Do I need a heat press for UV DTF cup wraps?

No. UV DTF is peel-and-stick: peel the backing, apply, rub down and peel off the top film. No heat, no transfer tape and no weeding.

Are UV DTF cup wraps dishwasher safe?

Hand wash only. After 24 hours the decal is water- and scratch-resistant for daily use, but dishwashers, soaking and abrasive pads shorten the life of any decal.

What if my wrap will not stick or bubbles?

Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol first, rub the entire decal down firmly before peeling, and peel the top film slowly at a low angle. Small bubbles can be pressed out toward the nearest edge. If a wrap arrives damaged or misprinted, email photos to info@dtfsirius.com within 7 days of delivery and we reprint or refund it.

How much does a UV DTF cup wrap cost?

By size, about 12¢ per square inch: roughly $5.04 for a 16 oz glass-can wrap, $9.15 for a 20 oz skinny wrap and $5.58 for a 40 oz body panel. The product page shows the exact total before you add to cart.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Order one wrap or a hundred. Orders of $120 or more ship free.

How fast will my cup wraps arrive?

Orders placed by 2 PM ET Monday through Friday ship the same day from upstate New York with tracking. Typical delivery is 1–2 business days to New York, New Jersey and New England, 2 days to the Mid-Atlantic and 2–4 days elsewhere in the US.
