DTF Transfers for California Brands & Makers

California is full of small brands that move fast: a streetwear drop in LA, a new tasting-room glass in Sonoma, a surf shop restock in Santa Cruz. Ordering from the West Coast

  • Cutoff: 2 PM Eastern is 11 AM Pacific. Gang sheets and transfers ordered by then on a business day ship the same day.
  • Transit: USPS Ground Advantage from the Northeast typically takes 4–6 business days to reach California. An order that ships Thursday typically arrives between the next Wednesday and Friday. Treat that as typical, not guaranteed.
  • Finished goods: custom apparel, drinkware and gifts ship in 3–5 business days, and embroidery in 5–7, before transit.

Stock transfers, not shirts

The longer transit is easy to absorb if you change what you keep on the shelf. Many brands order a month of transfers at once, keep blanks on hand and press to order. A pressed transfer takes 6–12 seconds at 315–325°F, so you only turn inventory into finished shirts when a customer pays. It also helps with shipping costs: orders of $120 or more ship free with Economy shipping, and a 22 × 168 inch gang sheet ($126 at $0.75 per inch) gets there on its own.

A California planning calendar

  • February–March: spring races and marathon season. Order runner and volunteer shirts two to three weeks out.
  • May–June: Cinco de Mayo events, graduations and Pride month.
  • July–August: county fairs and summer festivals. Restock beach and tourist shops.
  • Late summer–fall: wildfire season. Community relief shirts are common, so keep a design saved and ready.
  • October–November: Halloween and Día de los Muertos (November 1–2). Bilingual designs print the same as any other artwork.
  • November–December: holiday markets and company gifts. Ready-made designs are in our Holiday Shop. Given the transit time, order holiday transfers by early December.

What's the best way to plan around the longer transit?

Can UV DTF decals go on wine glasses and tumblers?

Yes. UV DTF sticks to clean, dry, smooth hard surfaces such as glass, metal, ceramic, hard plastic and sealed wood. Let it set for 24 hours before washing; hand washing is recommended, and avoid dishwashers and soaking.

Do you have a location in California?

No. DTF Sirius is an online print company that ships from the Northeast to addresses throughout California. There is no local pickup.
