DTF gang sheet ready to ship: 22 inch wide sheet packed with designs

DTF Transfers Shipping Times by State: How Fast Your Gang Sheet Arrives

If you print shirts, hats or totes with DTF transfers, the question isn't just how much a gang sheet costs — it's when it will land on your doorstep. Whether you're pressing shirts for a Saturday market, a school spirit week, or a client deadline, knowing realistic transit times by region helps you order with confidence instead of guessing. This guide breaks down typical DTF transfer and gang sheet shipping times across the United States, explains how our same-day shipping cutoff works, and gives you a simple way to work backward from your event date so your order arrives on time. For a full overview of how we serve customers nationwide, see our DTF transfers USA shipping guide.

Why Shipping Time Matters for DTF Orders

DTF (direct-to-film) transfers and gang sheets are print-on-demand: nothing is pre-made, so the clock starts the moment you place your order. That's actually good news for small shops and side-hustlers — there are no minimums, so you can order exactly what you need, when you need it. But it also means shipping time is the biggest variable standing between you and a finished product. A transfer that ships same-day from the Northeast might reach a customer in Boston in a day or two, while the same order to Seattle takes closer to a week. Understanding that gap up front lets you set realistic promises to your own customers and avoid last-minute scrambles.

Same-Day Shipping: How the 2 PM ET Cutoff Works

We offer same-day shipping on gang sheets and transfers ordered by 2 PM ET on business days. Orders placed after that cutoff, or on weekends and holidays, ship the next business day. This applies whether you upload your own print-ready file, use our online gang sheet builder, or upload artwork directly through our upload-a-sheet tool. Simply upload a print-ready sheet and the size and price are calculated automatically — there's no back-and-forth quoting that eats into your shipping window. Custom apparel (shirts we print and finish for you) runs on a separate production timeline of 3–5 business days, and embroidery typically takes 5–7 business days, before shipping begins.

Typical DTF Transfer Shipping Times by US Region

Once an order leaves our facility in the Northeast, it travels primarily via USPS Ground Advantage. Below are typical transit times we see by region. These are estimates based on normal carrier performance, not guarantees — weather, holidays, and regional mail volume can add a day or two.

Northeast: 1–3 Business Days

States close to our fulfillment hub — New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and neighboring states — typically see the fastest transit times, often arriving the next business day or two after shipment.

Southeast and Midwest: 2–4 Business Days

States such as Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan generally fall into a 2–4 business day window once the package ships.

Texas and Mountain States: 3–5 Business Days

Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and other Mountain West states are farther from our shipping origin, so allow 3–5 business days in transit.

West Coast: 4–6 Business Days

California, Washington, Oregon, and other Pacific states are the longest hauls by ground shipping, typically 4–6 business days.

One Nationwide Shop, Shipped From the Northeast

We ship from the Northeast to all 50 states, so no matter where your business is based — a garage studio in Ohio or a boutique in California — you're ordering from the same catalog with the same no-minimum policy. Read more about how we handle nationwide orders on our DTF transfers USA page.

How to Time Your Order for an Event

Work Backward From Your Event Date

Start with the date you need finished shirts in hand, then subtract: pressing time (minutes, once you have transfers), your region's typical transit window from the tables above, and same-day processing (if you order by 2 PM ET). For example, if you're on the West Coast and need shirts ready in one week, ordering transfers early in that week — rather than the night before — gives you a comfortable buffer.

Build in Extra Buffer for Custom Apparel

If you're ordering finished apparel rather than transfers alone, remember the 3–5 business day production window (5–7 for embroidery) happens before shipping starts. Add your region's transit time on top of that when you're working toward a hard deadline like a tournament, reunion, or holiday event.

Tips to Avoid Shipping Delays

  • Order before the 2 PM ET cutoff on a business day whenever your timeline is tight.
  • Double-check your shipping address at checkout — address corrections can add days.
  • Use a print-ready file sized correctly the first time; if you need help, see our guide on preparing artwork for a DTF gang sheet.
  • For recurring orders, build a small buffer of extra transfers so a single slow week never leaves you short.
  • Once transfers arrive, press them correctly the first time — see our heat press instructions for time and temperature settings.

Free Shipping and Order Details

Orders of $120 or more ship free anywhere in the US. Gang sheets are priced simply: our 22-inch-wide DTF gang sheets run $0.75 per inch of length, up to 240 inches (for example, a 22x24 sheet is $18, a 22x60 sheet is $45, and a 22x120 sheet is $90). UV DTF sheets are priced at $2.00 per inch. There's no minimum order size, so you can order a single small sheet or a long production run and still get the same fast, same-day processing.

FAQ

How fast does DTF transfer shipping typically take?

It depends on your region. Typical USPS Ground Advantage transit time after shipment is 1–3 business days in the Northeast, 2–4 in the Southeast and Midwest, 3–5 in Texas and the Mountain states, and 4–6 on the West Coast. These are typical ranges, not guarantees.

What is the same-day shipping cutoff?

Orders for gang sheets and transfers placed by 2 PM ET on a business day ship that same day. Orders placed after the cutoff, or on weekends and holidays, ship the next business day.

Does custom apparel ship as fast as transfers alone?

No. Custom apparel we print and finish takes 3–5 business days to produce (5–7 for embroidery) before it ships, in addition to your region's transit time.

Is there a minimum order to get fast shipping?

No. We don't require minimums on gang sheets or transfers, so a single sheet ships on the same timeline as a large order.

How do I make sure my order arrives before my event?

Work backward from your event date using the regional transit times above, order before the 2 PM ET cutoff, and double-check your address and artwork file before checkout.
